Packet8 Virtual Attendant is a powerful, automated call routing solution that allows businesses to connect wired, mobile, home phones and other Virtual Office extensions, regardless of geographic location, under a single primary phone number. Virtual Attendant can be used as either an independent service or in conjunction with an accompanying Virtual Office Service Plan. Callers are greeted promptly and professionally by an automated attendant that forwards the incoming caller to the designated numbers.

Virtual Attendant works with all the Virtual Office options including virtual phone numbers and toll-free numbers for inbound calling options; virtual extensions to connect wired, cell, home phones and other Virtual Office physical extensions. You can expand Virtual Attendant to a full-scale inbound and outbound calling solution by using the Virtual Office unlimited extension, global extension and metered extensions options.

The Virtual Attendant base package includes a main number (a Virtual Number) and the auto-attendant. To connect to your existing phones lines, add the necessary virtual extensions and forward to your existing home, cell, business and Virtual Office lines. Adding unlimited and/or metered extension enables the ring group feature.

Three Uses for the Virtual Attendant:

Case #1 – allows small businesses to use the Virtual Attendant as an inbound main number with auto-attendant solution to distribute calls to a series of traditional, home or business, wireless and other virtual office system phones while using these devices to make outbound calls, a. cell phone, b. desk phone, and/or c. home phone, and/or d. another Virtual Office extension.

Case #2 – allows an existing Virtual Office subscriber to add a second auto-attendant while using the same Virtual Office unlimited or metered extensions. All Virtual Office services are issued ala carte.

Case #3 – allows less than 3-person operations to “jump-start” their business with a professional phone auto-attendant without needing the Virtual Office minimum of 3 extensions requirement.
